Mnemba Island is heard by few, although it is only four and a half kilometers from Zanzibar. You can come to the restaurant barefoot — this is the optimal local "dress code" for any occasion, except for a walk in the woods. It should be done at least once for a bird safari or a meeting with a duiker, a small antelope with elegant horns.
The resort has twelve villas in the style of traditional African huts called banda, both luxurious and authentic. All of them are tucked away in tropical thickets, although two are designed so that, if desired, they can be turned into a family suite.
