Faena Hotel Buenos Aires

The hotel, owned by Argentine hotelier and fashion designer Alan Faena, is located on Buenos Aires Golden mile - the Puerto Madero neighborhood that now glitters with glass skyscrapers and used to host cargo ships.
- Show Rojo Tango in El Cabare
- Design by Philippe Starck
- Buenos Aires Gastronomic District
The port and industrial past of the neighborhood and the building itself sets a special vibe - brutal yet elegant - of which Faena is the perfect embodiment.
The hotel occupies an old mill, built in the early 20th century from bricks specially imported from Manchester. The modern layout and interiors were designed by Philippe Starck, and you can feel his steady hand here: passionate red velvet everywhere, Edwardian Regency-style furniture dashingly mixed with portraits of Mao Zedong and Elizabeth II.
El Mercado, one of the city is the most famous grill restaurants with a huge parilla (or, as the Argentines pronounce it, parijas), is open all day, but the hotel is the second restaurant, Bistro Sur, is only open for dinner, and is the perfect place for a gourmet meal with a loved one.
