La Mirande Avignon
The hotel is located literally across the street from the Avignon Papal Palace, and the building itself was once the residence of a cardinal, but now the house (and this is exactly a "house", not just a hotel) is decorated in the style of the Dukes of Bourbon.
- Historic mansion in the city center
- Aristocratic atmosphere
The 14th-century mansion in Avignon has only 20 rooms, and they are all chic without exaggeration: the windows are decorated with silk-lined curtains, the floors are covered with antique Turkish carpets, the bathrooms are decorated with Carrara marble.
Do not miss the chance to take a culinary master class in a real antique kitchen in the basement; after that, guests are invited to an elegant restaurant and offered a tasting menu accompanied by the best wines from the hotel cellar. In a luxurious bar, where Sir Winston Churchill would not hesitate to appear, an afternoon tea party with homemade pastries is arranged every day — from madeleine cookies to berry pies: tea is especially pleasant to drink in a Chinese study with silk wallpaper of the XVIII century in the Chinoiserie style.
