Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco
Castillon del Bosco is primarily a huge wine estate — so large that it takes fifteen minutes to cross it by car. The estate is located in Montalcino, and wherever you look, you will see the vineyards where the most famous Tuscan wines are born from the most noble grape variety — Brunello.
- The best wines of Tuscany
- First-class service
- Unique spa treatments
The hotel itself, a spacious stone house, stands in the center of the estate, on a hill, so that the views from any window and from any terrace are epic. And very soothing: you can look at the rows of vines even for a lifetime, and this sight will never get bored, but it will always inspire confidence in the future.
There are only 23 rooms in the main building, but if you want even more privacy, you can rent one of the nine detached villas scattered throughout the estate. Interior designers have created real masterpieces of modern luxury: verified combinations of vintage and modern elements, restrained, but not boring colors, natural materials and completely homely convenience — these are the general principles, but there are no two identical rooms in the hotel: the design depends on the location of the room, its configuration, lighting — in short, everything is strictly according to the Tuscan style..
Guests can choose one of two restaurants for dinner — the more solemn and romantic Ristorante Campo del Drago or the charming osteria in the style of rustic chic. Vegetables and herbs come to the kitchen from their own vegetable garden. The wine list includes not only wine from the estates vineyards (and they are among the best in Montalcino, which means in Tuscany, which means in Italy and in the world), but also other local wines, of course, only from star winemakers.
Also in Castillon del Bosco there is a golf course and a spa in the old wine cellar. The most interesting thing in the spa menu is holistic rituals on La Prairie cosmetics. And after the procedures, you can relax in the lavender garden with a cup of fragrant herbal tea: paradise and nothing more.
