Santa Marina began as the vision of a legendary Greek entrepreneur. Elias Papageorgiou, who loved Mykonos more than any other place on Earth. Throughout the year, he looked forward to spending the summer on the island: he was drawn to the freedom, authenticity, natural beauty of Mykonos and the captivating sea.

The resort is built as a secluded private village on a hillside in the southernmost corner of the beautiful Ornos Bay , overlooking the sea. Behind heavily guarded gates there is direct access to the Ornos Bay beach community including restaurants, cafes and shops. The exteriors are in tune with the simple cubist architecture typical of the Cyclades, such as stacked stonework and whitewashed walls.

Elegant outdoor common areas shaded by large palm trees take full advantage of the sea views, with wicker furniture, hanging seating , four-poster lounge chairs and sunken "sofas" that are built into the wide infinity pool.

The hotel offers 101 rooms and suites, as well as 13 villas from two to seven bedrooms. The rooms are decorated in an organic modern style by renowned Greek interior designer Silvina Masipe Krontiras. The interiors are decorated in light colors with natural island accents of wood and raffia, complemented by vibrant blue views of the Aegean Sea. Rooms feature wood and bamboo furnishings, vaulted ceilings and neutral fabrics and upholstery. Bathrooms finished in marblein black and beige tones, equipped with glass-paneled waterfall showers, handcrafted wooden sinks, Acqua di Parma toiletries, bathrobes and slippers.

Buddha-Bar Beach is one of the most sought-after places on the island. Stone Buddha statues greet you at the entrance to a legendary exotic atmosphere, where famous DJs spin avant-garde world music while guests sip cocktails from a themed (and expensive) menu.

Located right on our private beach, the bohemian Beach Bar is open all day with service right on the sand. The menu includes chilled juices and cocktails, an exquisite selection of champagne and wines from around the world, juicy burgers, crisp salads and light snacks, as well as a Buddha-Bar beach menu.

At the Ginkgo Spa, water flows freely under a raised floor to create a Zen-Buddhist atmosphere upon entry. ESPA branded treatments reflect the nature of Mykonos, and hammam treatments are carried out in a tiled and marble area with traditional Ottoman-style sinks.
