Sonop Lodge Namibia
In the designer tent camp Sonop Lodge, you can feel like an aristocrat of the early XX century, who left the ancestral nest and went to explore Africa. Sonop Lodge was opened by French hoteliers from the Zanier family, and French chic is felt here in everything.
- Interiors with French chic
- Hot air balloon flights over the desert
- Morning yoga classes
There are eight one-bedroom tents and two two-bedroom tents in the camp, which are usually chosen by families. The nostalgic interiors of luxurious tents with telescopes, kilims and travel chests are very similar to those seen by the first European tourists, and the lunar landscapes outside the window have really not changed since then.
The camp is located on the southern border of the Namib Desert. In addition to traditional safaris, morning yoga classes and hot air balloon flights over the desert are offered here. And evenings can be spent in an open-air cinema.
The restaurant deserves separate words. A large table for all guests is served every evening in a new place, which is kept secret until the last moment. The atmosphere at dinner is solemn: silver candelabra, white gloves of the waiters, and, of course, delicious dishes from the chef.
